Description:

Brevard College Dining Services provides campus-wide food services to students, faculty, and staff and caters for events on and off campus. The college serves 600+ residential students with the meal program. The department employs approximately 35 full/part-time and student employees.

Responsible for preparing and cooking meals for a college dining program. The person will work as part of a culinary team and ensure all safety and sanitation standards are met within the dining program.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have culinary degree or two years of related work experience
• Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, manager, customers and client representatives.
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure, high turnaround environment and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment
• Ability to understand food order or verbal instructions and follow a recipe
• Follow food safety requirements
• Other related duties as assigned
