RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 30-bed acute care unit with 40+ staff members

• Patient ratios: ICU 2-4:1, Med-Surg 5-6:1

• Weekend rotation includes 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling cycle

• Holiday coverage per staffing matrix

• Function in fast-paced, ever-changing environment caring for all levels from med-surg to ICU

• Utilize team-based care model with daily multidisciplinary meetings

• Required certifications: BLS (must have), ACLS (must be completed prior to end of orientation)

Preferred experience:

ICU/Stepdown experience, 1 year med-surg experience preferred

• Work with equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis

• Use Cerner EMR system

• Perform procedures including IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care

• Float to TCU as needed

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs for nurses
