Physical Therapist PRN – Mission Health –
Brevard, North Carolina

Job Summary

Evaluates patients, develops care plans, uses procedures and techniques to improve condition/function consistent with the rehabilitation diagnosis and prognosis. Supervises and coordinates therapeutic care and communicates evaluation results to patients, families and staff. Mentors staff and participates in resource management for patient care and organizational improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within scope of practice (law and ethical code).
  • Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, develop total plan of care.
  • Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care using procedures and techniques to produce changes in condition/function.
  • Instruct patients/families/caregivers in use of therapies, exercises, appliances and prosthetic devices for use outside therapy sessions.
  • Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
  • License:
    Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy; BLS certification required within 90 days.
  • Experience:

    New graduate eligible; clinical affiliation experience helpful (orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, burns).
