Orthopedic Sales Representative, Ortho Biologics

The Orthobiologics Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their territory. Responsibilities include establishing customer relations through communication and appointments, maintaining expertise in orthobiologics products, and consulting surgeons regarding Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory. Arthrex Nashville operates independently, selling products to surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex is a leader in orthopedic product development and education.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts about product updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs.
  • Implement sales plans and marketing strategies to meet/exceed territory goals.
  • Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
  • Address issues at accounts.
  • Support compliance by maintaining confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting ethically, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to laws and policies.
  • Receive coaching and training; transfer knowledge to peers.
  • Maintain training in sales skills, product features, and business applications.
  • Collect competitive data; stay current on industry trends.
  • Participate in sales and professional meetings outside of regular hours as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years orthopedic experience; orthobiologics preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
  • Comfort in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols related to Arthrex.
  • Ability to learn technical information, anatomy, and surgical indications.
  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Training:

  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to create effective business plans.
  • Commission-driven with strong communication skills.
  • Sense of urgency; work well under pressure.
  • Self-assured, competitive, independent decision-maker.
  • Adherence to compliance and conduct policies.

Tools and Equipment:

  • Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.
