Job Description

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to join our team. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. You will also lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store.

The ideal candidate will have a welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members, ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed. You will work both independently and with a team, resolve guest questions quickly on the spot, and have attention to detail and follow a multi-step process.

Responsibilities will include creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests, executing daily tasks assigned by your leader, operating power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures, and maintaining compliance culture while executing duties.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Maintain compliance culture while executing duties, such as federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
