Directory Services Analyst – LifePoint Health Support Center
The Directory Services Analyst position is part of the Identity and Access Management group at the LifePoint Health Support Center (HSC). The group is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities and technologies including Active Directory, DNS, access workflow and provisioning tools, RBAC systems, password self‑service systems, federation services, and multi‑factor authentication services. The analyst will primarily focus on the implementation, migration, and operation of the Active Directory infrastructure, while also supporting other products and technologies within the group.
EssentialFunctions
- Monitor LDAP/Kerberos health using tools such as perfmon and Power Shell.
- Provide basic Directory reporting metrics such as authentication, authorization, and object totals.
- Plan, design, test, implement, troubleshoot, recommend, and schedule improvements, upgrades, and repairs to the Active Directory domains.
- Participate in efforts to integrate and migrate acquired entity users and infrastructure.
- Manage trusts and integrations with enterprise systems.
- Deploy or modify Group Policy objects to support IT and business objectives.
- Manage and maintain internal and external DNS in support of the environment and other teams.
- Provide support to other teams requiring AD expertise.
- Initiate dialogue with appropriate support teams to troubleshoot issues or problems.
- Implement, manage, and document administrative processes and procedures.
- Provide after‑hours and on‑call support as needed.
- 2+ years IT experience with a preference for working with Active Directory.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions – Requires prolonged sitting, occasional bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate reports. Occasional lifting of papers or boxes up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent contact with staff and the public.
