Position Summary
Seeking an experienced leader for a Director II, Clinical Engineering role to manage a prestigious hospital system. The individual will oversee numerous types of medical equipment, bring hands-on technical knowledge, and provide strong leadership and process-improvement expertise. This high-level leadership role involves managing supervisors and technical professionals, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the hospital's clinical engineering program
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and technical staff, ensuring high performance and accountability
- Manage maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment across departments
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service quality
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to align biomedical services with patient care priorities
- Monitor compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations
- Lead team development, staff training, and succession planning initiatives
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of biomedical services management within a large healthcare system - Proven ability to work with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO)
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Business acumen with expertise in budget management, contract negotiations, and vendor relations
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- 5 years of experience managing biomedical services within a large healthcare system
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders to align HTM strategies with organizational goals
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance standards: CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO)
