Senior Accountant – Join a High-Impact Finance Team
Are you an experienced accounting professional ready for the next step in your career? A growing and innovative financial services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within its Accounting team. This position offers the chance to take ownership of essential financial functions, collaborate across departments, and support the development of team members – all while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Take the lead on month-end closing activities, ensuring financial reports are accurate and submitted on schedule.
- Prepare and post complex journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Manage consolidated financials for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and allocation processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory reports across various U.S. states.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset ledger, overseeing capitalization and depreciation schedules.
- Provide support during annual audits by preparing required documentation and working directly with external auditors.
- Work cross-functionally to analyze financial trends and deliver meaningful insights that support business decisions.
- Mentor junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- This is an on-site position based in Brentwood, TN
. - 3‑5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and corporate financial reporting.
- Hands‑on experience managing month‑end close processes and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and reporting.
- Familiarity with Net Suite or other mid‑to‑large‑scale ERP/accounting platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to guide and support less‑experienced colleagues.
- Self‑motivated and solution‑oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
