- Complete monthly drone volume surveys across active pits and ore stockpiles.
- Reconcile production volumes with end‑of‑month and annual aerial surveys.
- Update pit topography and mining models monthly to drive plan accuracy.
- Survey and track quality‑control data to define ore zone contact limits and boost recovery.
- Record extraction patterns and maintain mine‑plan records for future layouts.
- Review grade information in active pits; lay out pit designs to improve mining accuracy and ore yield.
- Create and communicate short‑and‑medium‑term mine plans to the quarry team.
- Coordinate exploratory drilling (logging, sampling, organizing data for onsite analysis).
- Use drill‑core lab data to develop and maintain isopach models
; translate insights into daily actions for the team. - Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual mine & waste storage plans.
- Liaise with corporate G&M on long‑term quarry planning; conduct periodic audits/training on ore sampling and measurement protocols.

- Education: Bachelor’s in Mine Engineering (or equivalent relevant education/experience);
MS in Mine Engineering or related field preferred. - Experience: 1–3 years in surface mining (lime or cement preferred); 3+ years preferred for senior consideration.
- Tech & Tools: Experience or strong aptitude with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Carlson, Surpac),
GPS survey gear, and drones (plus!). - Data fluency: Advanced Excel
; proficiency in Power Point and Word
; SAP is a plus. - Mindset: Detail‑driven, analytical, great communicator and presenter, with sound judgment and a strong sense of urgency.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working cross‑functionally and across all levels of the organization.
- Field‑ready: Thrive outdoors in a southwest climate
; safety‑first, always.
- Work primarily in a lime/mineral environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, vibration, oils, fumes
, and lime/mineral particles. - Navigate uneven surfaces; climb stairs/ladders; access heights up to 150 feet and occasional confined spaces and tunnels.
- Stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, reach; ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
. - Flexibility to work different shifts as needed for drilling and planning; travel up to 20% to other sites.
- Interest in working in Alabama or Tennessee
