Your role on the team:- Audits freight pay systems to include carrier freight bills
- Investigates and responds to carrier billing issues and carrier inquiries regarding payment of invoices/accounts
- Responds to internal and external customer inquiries on any issues relating to freight payment
- Manages carrier invoice aging reports
- Pulls data from multiple systems for analysis and manipulation
- Prepares and analyzes data including carrier invoices, TMS data and Great Plains data used to manage carrier payables
- Reviews and creates Excel reports to assist in the management of the FAP process
- Performs clerical work as required, including answering phone calls, managing mail, operating various office machines and computers, sorting, filing, corresponding with internal and external employee and carrier representatives
- Minimum 1‑year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience and high proficiency in Excel
- Experience in customer service and the transportation industry, such as rate entry, collection, billing and/or operations preferred
- Knowledge of TMS applications and Great Plains systems preferred
- PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word and Outlook
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret freight payment procedures and carrier pricing contracts
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence and maintain business procedure documentation
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and/or external account representatives
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
