We are excited to announce BUSD’s Teacher Residency Program in partnership with Saint Mary’s College.
Teacher residents will work in one of our elementary schools during the school year with support from experienced BUSD mentor teachers. They will gain hands‑on experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and student support. BUSD’s partnership with Saint Mary’s College combines a year‑long classroom apprenticeship with an aligned sequence of coursework, allowing teacher residents to earn a credential upon completion of the program.

- Stipend of $30,000 for tuition and expenses
- Attend Saint Mary’s coursework at Brentwood Union School District site locations
- High‑caliber mentor teachers for each resident teacher
