Topographical Surveyor

Overview

TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a leading UK engineering surveying consultancy, part of a wider infrastructure group, to recruit Surveyors for their regional office in Brentwood. Our client is a national engineering surveying business delivering topographical, measured building, underground utility, monitoring and site engineering surveys across a network of ten UK offices. Their teams support major construction and infrastructure projects, providing the engineering certainty required to deliver complex schemes safely and efficiently.

• Delivers topographical and measured building surveys of varying size and complexity to a high standard
• Take the lead on large and complex projects, coordinating multiple survey teams
• Provides clear technical guidance and instructions to team members
• Processes multi-dataset survey information, including topographical and building data
• Maintains survey instrumentation and equipment to required standards
• Carries out site inspections and dynamic risk assessments
• Ensures delivery meets health, safety, quality and programme requirements
• Supports the development of trainee, junior and technician-level surveyors

• 3+ years' experience in land, topographical or measured building surveying
• Proven ability to deliver topographical surveys independently
• Experience with measured building surveys using laser scanners and/or traditional methods
• Strong data processing and CAD skills
• Professional and confident communicator
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Motivated to develop a long-term career within a growing surveying business

• Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths & English (Grade C / 4 or above)
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
