Job Title:
Fire stopping Estimator
Job Summary
The Fire stopping Estimator prepares accurate cost estimates for fire stopping works by reviewing drawings, specifications, and fire-rated requirements. The role supports tendering and project delivery while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and certification schemes.
Key Responsibilities
• Review drawings and specifications to identify fire stopping scope
• Complete quantity takeoffs for penetrations, joints, and fire-rated systems
• Prepare accurate labor and material cost estimates
• Interpret UL / tested fire stopping systems and specifications
• Prepare bid proposals, scope clarifications, and exclusions
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and main contractors
Requirements
• Experience in construction estimating (fire stopping preferred)
• Strong knowledge of fire stopping systems and installation methods
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with FIRAS and BM TRADA certification requirements and compliance
• Understanding of relevant fire safety regulations and standards
• Proficiency with takeoff / estimating software
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
