Location:
Brentwood, Essex
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 per year
About the Role
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a range of construction projects. You will be involved in all aspects of project financial management, including procurement, cost reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with site teams and management, giving you practical experience and the chance to develop your commercial skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Price and forecast the cost of materials and labour
* Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities
* Track design and construction changes and update cost projections
* Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
* Measure and value completed works and manage the commercial programme
* Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, site managers, and engineers
* Source and select construction materials
* Produce commercial and financial reports
* Maintain awareness of current construction contracts
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
Requirements
* BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
* Proficient in MS Office
* Strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills
* Previous site or commercial experience is desirable but not essential
