POSITION OVERVIEW:
The position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install facility machinery.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
- Trained in all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance.
- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
- Complete monthly and annual inspections as assigned.
- Communicate with operators from other shifts.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Perform back-up for assembly line.
- Provide on-the-job training to employees, as needed, for equipment.
- Order tools and machinery inventory parts.
- Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are met.
- Any other duties or special projects that may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Trained in how to operate all plant equipment:
Forklift & Aerial Lift.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school or equivalent preferred. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming would be a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Must be forklift certified or obtained after hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
Must have the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
