Duties SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Training Technician concerned with performing assignments designed to support technical training. Duties
* Gathers data and formulates requirements relative to instructional systems and provides direct support to technical training activities
* Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated technical training support programs
* Performs or participates in special projects
* Performs a variety of administrative duties Requirements Conditions of employment

* A security clearance to the Top Secret/SCI level is required.
* If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at:
* This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
* This is a Testing Designation Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.
* May be required to work overtime or irregular shifts.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 1702 Series. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of an extensive body of rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of technical training programs to perform a wide variety of assignments involved in the support of technical training functions; knowledge of the unit's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources and use basic analytical methods and techniques to determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in technical training programs;
knowledge of the technical training program mission and objectives to perform assignments and resolve a wide range of issues using accepted practices; knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations ,retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files; ability to use a variety of computer programs/software to enter, maintain, sort, retrieve information, and produce a variety of standardized documents.

EDUCATION:
Applicants have successfully completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position or have a bachelor's degree in education or a subject area related to the position and am claiming Superior Academic Achievement.

EDUCATION:
Applicants have less than the full amount of specialized experience described in the job opportunity announcement; however, they have completed some graduated-level education which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. Therefore, applicants have a combination of experience and education.

You must submit a copy of transcripts. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
