Duties
* Develops the Force Support Squadron training plan.

* All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
* Full/part-time employees occupying direct childcare positions are eligible for discounts IAW DAF AFSVC/CC Memo, 30 Sep 22; first child 100% / each additional child 25%. Other assigned CYP and FCC personnel are eligible for 25% discount.
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted and permanent/term/temp) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Incumbent may be required to stand for several hours at a time while instructing in a classroom environment.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
* Incumbent may be subject to work other than normal duty hours. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Training Specialist 1712 Series. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes practical knowledge of a wide range of conventional concepts, principles, and practices associated with training program management sufficient to independently develop, conduct, and evaluate difficult, but well-precedented formal and informal training programs. Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, training resources, and test and measurement.
Knowledge of service-based occupations and the associated training/certification requirements for military and civilian personnel assigned to the organization OR
EDUCATION:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Knowledge of service-based programs and objectives, processes involved in military and civilian training programs, and/or processes relating to training programs in parallel business and industry organizations.
* Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, and training resources, as well as the principles, techniques, and objectives of test and measurement.
* Knowledge of basic budget preparation as it applies to preparing operating and capital expenditure training budgets.
* Skill in developing course materials and presenting formal and informal courses and briefings
* Ability to gather, develop, and analyze a variety of data and to make recommendations based on analysis.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
