Associate Vice President of Instruction
Salary: $115,510 - $132,837

Vice President of Instruction
- Lead and/or contribute to branch campus strategic planning, including new program development
- Direct the operational priorities of branch campuses.
- Collaborate with branch campus directors, Instructional Support Services, and academic deans to establish quarterly schedules that meet the needs of students at Poulsbo and Shelton.
- Under the direction of the VPI, contribute to the alignment of the unit’s budget with strategic priorities
- Develop and manage the budgets for Institutional Research, Academic Business Office, Workforce and Economic Development, and branch campuses.
- Oversee the allocation of resources to support instructional programs and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Academic Business Office, Accounting, and the college Business Office in the execution and maintenance of unit budget.
- Oversee the Workforce and Economic Development (WFED) Division and Instructional grant development.
- With the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development, develop, monitor, and assess the WFED strategic plan.
- With the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development, develop, manage, and report on the annual Perkins Plan, Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (CLNA), and Worker Retraining Plan.
- Establish priorities and oversee expansion of Continuing Education and Corporate Training.
- With the college Grants Office, oversee grant development and management for Instruction. Oversee the management of the Office of Institutional Research.
- Coordinate with the Director of Institutional Research to establish goals and direction for reporting.
- Align IR objectives to support college strategic planning, closing equity gaps, and the operational and forecasting needs of the college.
- Support and assist VPI in labor management and employee relations.
- Support and assist VPI in strategic planning and initiatives, accreditation and compliance, and operational policy and procedure development.
- Collaborate with VPI, academic deans, and other departments in aligning instructional objectives, strategies, and key performance metrics with college strategic plans.
- Contribute to the execution of strategic priorities and initiatives such as guided pathways, strategic enrollment management, and Achieving the Dream.
- Contribute to accreditation and other compliance planning and reporting and assist the Accreditation Liaison Officer in report and site visit preparation.
- Support the development and revision of operational policies and procedures.
- Master's degree
- A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in higher education.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional program development and workforce development.
- Demonstrated experience in budget development and grant management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, and industry and community partners.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education.
- Experience in a community college setting.
- Experience as a college or university dean or equivalent position.
This is a full-time exempt position scheduled to work Monday through Friday. The salary for this position is $115,510 - $132,837 annually, which includes a generous benefits package that includes the following.
