Hiring Range: $26.94 - $32.55 per Hour (Includes FACT Differential)

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Vocational Specialist Care Coordinator to join our Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team. This role provides vocational‑supportive counseling and case management to help clients living with severe mental health disorders achieve stability, independence, and their vocational and educational goals. With small caseloads and a multidisciplinary team approach, you’ll have the opportunity to provide meaningful, individualized support in clients’ homes and community settings.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan and provide work‑related supportive services such as symptom management, grooming, securing clothing, transportation, and other daily living needs.
  • Provide ongoing support for job retention and educational programs while assisting clients in managing symptoms.
  • Deliver onsite job coaching and hands‑on assistance in navigating educational and vocational settings.
  • Engage clients without prior employment experience to explore interests and aptitudes through assessments and guided support.
  • Document vocational and educational support activities in alignment with treatment goals.
  • Participate in daily staff meetings and scheduled treatment plan reviews.
  • Support clients in reducing or abstaining from substance use, utilizing harm reduction approaches.
  • Use situational awareness to evaluate and reduce safety risks during home and community visits.
  • Coordinate with team members in crisis intervention and collaborate with crisis services and law enforcement as needed.
  • Teach and support independent living skills such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal hygiene, socialization, and transportation.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Services, or Behavioral Health field.

Experience:

Entry level (no prior related work experience).
