Olympic College is seeking applicants for a full‑time, tenure‑track Mathematics faculty position at the Shelton Campus. This position begins in Fall Quarter 2026 and reports to the Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics.

Essential Functions
  • Provide quality instruction in Mathematics at the satellite Shelton campus.
  • Provide leadership in content knowledge, content delivery, and innovative teaching methods for part‑time faculty teaching math at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
  • Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the division office as requested.
  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with the college catalog, schedule of classes, course outlines, course syllabi, and any departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of students and complete forms and records as required.
  • Maintain office hours for student consultations.
  • Attend faculty, department, and division meetings.
  • Complete related responsibilities as per the current collective bargaining agreement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics required, or a related Master’s degree with substantial graduate‑level Mathematics coursework may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful experience teaching Mathematics at a College or University.
  • Experience with Learning Management System software such as Canvas.

Terms of Employment

Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered.

Faculty members must submit official, unopened transcripts to the Human Resources department within 30 days of their employment.

This is a full‑time faculty position contracted on an annual basis. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will be commensurate with educational background and experience. The salary will be prorated to reflect the actual contract days remaining in the academic year. The salary listed is a range based on per month for the quarter. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE).

Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department. Evening and/or weekend classes, instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses, and off‑campus assignments may be a part of the instructional load.
