Overview
The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs Cardiopulmonary duties in accordance with hospital policy/procedure under general supervision. This includes administering respiratory treatments, airway management, ventilator management, blood gases, and other noninvasive cardiology procedures. This individual will be held to a high level of customer service representation and will be an active participant in the continuous quality improvement process. Serves as a resource to other employees.
Education- High School Diploma or GED
Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications- ACLS Certification
- Healthcare Provider (CPR)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Professional
- Must become certified in NRP and ACLS within 8 months of employment.
