Haralson Nursing and Rehab is seeking a full-time Staff Development Coordinator.

We are looking for a dynamic nurse with experience working in skilled nursing/long-term care to take on this unique position.
Summary of Responsibilities- THIS IS AN ON CALL POSITION*
- On Call one weekend a month, and one day per week.
- Provide new employee orientation and in-service education.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings/testing.
- Assist and conduct interviews for clinical positions.
- Assess educational needs of center and provide education as needed.
- Work to decrease the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases between patients, staff, visitors, and the community.
- Maintain appropriate records documenting attendance at orientations, in-services and CNA training programs.
- Actively participate in the safety program for the facility.
- Plan in-service education programs for all employees in collaboration with respective department head staff.
- Lead and coordinate a robust team in the identification and implementation of infection prevent goals.
- Provide instruction to develop and improve overall quality of care.
- Provide the Director of Nursing with monthly outlines of the planned educational programs and monthly infection control reporting.
- Assist the Director of Nursing when necessary.
- Decreasing the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases between patients, staff, visitors, and the community.
- Lead and direct a robust team in the identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives throughout the facility.

Qualifications- Must have an active RN Georgia License.
