Graduate Purchasing and Stock Controller

If you are looking for a busy, varied role at the heart of business operations, then this is ideal. You’ll be involved in areas including purchasing and stock-management.

The business manufactures a range of equipment that is used by well known food manufacturers, online retailers, and distributors.

A large part of the role relates to stock-control and the supply-chain: looking after the materials and stock that is used to make the items, making sure deliveries are correct, and that there is enough available.

And you’ll also be in charge of making sure that parts are sent out correctly to customers.

There will also be an element of purchasing: identifying suitable suppliers of parts, negotiating contracts with them, and monitoring their performance.

You will be interacting with suppliers, internal staff, and customers. It's a varied role, and you will learn a lot about how the business operates.

You will become a super-user of the business management system, and will be supported with ongoing professional development. For example, if you wished to do a Purchasing qualification. And you can even learn to use the Forklift truck if you want. You’ll also learn about ISO quality and environmental management.

What you’ll need…

You should have a degree, ideally related to Engineering, Business or Logistics / Supply Chain. Other than that, full training is provided.

Location is Brecon, and it would be ideal if you live fairly nearby. However, if you are in Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and areas in between, and are happy to commute, then please do apply (though realistically you would need your own transport)
