Senior Manager of Facilities – Midwest Vision Partners

Senior Manager of Facilities to lead real estate and construction projects, including lease negotiations, TI allowances, expansions, new builds, and relocations. This role ensures projects align with company growth goals and stay on budget. The ideal candidate is a strategic negotiator and skilled project manager with experience in real estate and facility operations. This position also manages a team of 1-4 direct reports.

Real Estate & Lease Management
  • Maintain and manage all leases, ensuring compliance with terms and identifying opportunities for cost savings
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to evaluate portfolio and ensure optimal valuation and cost structure
  • Actively manage our real estate portfolio to optimize opportunity for growth and profitability in partnership with regional leadership
  • Collaborate with leadership to negotiate lease terms, renewals, and closures to optimize MVP's real estate portfolio
  • Secure TI allowances for expansion projects and lease negotiations in collaboration with our commercial real estate team
  • Act as the escalation point for landlords not meeting contractual obligations
  • Investigate and support tax appeal needs with attorneys for MVP properties
Construction & Expansion Project Management
  • Oversee all real estate construction projects, including expansions, new developments (de‑novo), and relocations
  • Own and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for all construction initiatives in partnership with regional leadership
  • Responsible for the collaboration with Regional Directors, Operations and Finance teams to build Return on Investment (ROI) analyses and use them to budget for construction projects
  • Maintain budgets and control costs for all real estate and construction‑related expenses
  • Manage all office closures and relocations, ensuring smooth transitions for staff and patients
Facility & Operations Oversight
  • Create a centralized facility management system to track needed repairs and inspections
  • Work with facility management to optimize vendor relationships and procurement
  • Define and manage facility policies including annual facility reviews, checklists and reporting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, attorneys, landlords, and the MVP Operations team
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience:

    5+ years of experience in property management, real estate, construction management, or a similar field
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable lease terms and TI allowances
  • Experience negotiating favorable lease terms and TI allowances
  • Experience managing multiple large‑scale construction projects, budgets, and timelines simultaneously
  • Experience in budgeting for real estate investments
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage escalations with landlords and contractors
  • Strong relationship management skills with experience working with brokers, attorneys, and operations teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
