Our US‑location (founded in 2017), and the second global equipment production facility, currently employs around 30 highly qualified employees and offers plenty of room for further growth and personal development.
We are hiring a Head of Engineering for Brecksville, Ohio. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Engineering is responsible for leading/coordinate the Engineering team as well as development and design of all TEST‑FUCHS US products.
Responsibilities- Manage the product development process till transfer to production
- Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and internal standards
- Lead and develop the US-Engineering Team (approx. 10 members) for US-specific projects
- Mentor team members and ensure ongoing qualification, training, and performance management of the Engineering team
- Coordinate design concepts for quotations, engineering design, and design-for-manufacturing activities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
- Represent Test-Fuchs at customer with sales, at military and civil customers
- Improve engineering standards, methods, and systems in alignment with headquarters in Austria
- College degree in Applied Science or equivalent technical diploma/certificate, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems (preferably Creo and Windchill)
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of up to 10 members
- Strong ability to translate customer requirements into innovative designs and guide the transition from design to production
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematic design
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with strong attention to detail
