Job DescriptionSummit High School in beautiful Summit County, Colorado is seeking a dynamic coach and educator to serve as Varsity Head Cheerleading Coach beginning in the 2026-27 school year.
Under the direction of the athletic director and Summit High School administration and in accordance with Summit School District policies, procedures and CHSAA regulations, the Head Cheerleading Coach shall be responsible for all phases of the program.

- Demonstrates a commitment to building a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Establishes a program foundation built on excellent communication, trust and positive engagement.
- Balances the student-first approach with skill development, improvement and competitive success.
- Teaches and develops sport and life skills, leadership, integrity and sportsmanship.
- Serves as a positive role model as well as an exemplary representative of Summit High School.
- Effectively manages the budget to include fund raising.
- Committed to consistent interaction with players and potential Summit cheer athletes.
- Strong relationship builder with high school and middle school student-athletes.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching and/or participating in cheer preferred.
- Possesses an enthusiastic love for cheer and has a desire to develop the fundamental skills of high school athletes.
- High school diploma.

There is currently no teaching position associated with this position.
Hiring Range: $391.50 - $861.30 weekly.
