Overview

The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking a dedicated, highly responsible and customer service oriented individual for the position of Recreation Guest Services Attendant
.

Recreation Attendants are responsible for interfacing with guests in order to meet or exceed guest needs with respect to facility, program or service needs. This includes providing information, implementing or carrying out preplanned programs or activities, assisting with program planning, handling cash, enforcing policies or procedures, and generally representing the department in the most quality and service oriented manner possible. The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service;

greeting guests; conducting memberships, pass and pro-shop sales; light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. This position performs cash handling duties and conducts transactions with a computerized point-of-sale system, and also coordinates equipment needs, performs facility checks, and handles facility reservations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have received a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
  • Must have one (1) or more years of cash handling experience.
  • Must be able to work Wednesday or Thursday evenings.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

REQUIRED:

  • Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
  • Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) or more years of customer service experience in cash handling and/or customer service experience in the recreation or hospitality industry preferred.

Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Primary shifts for this position generally include days, nights, weekends and holidays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., and a typical schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
