Industry: Electronic Components Distribution Role Overview

A well-established electronic components distributor based in California is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its on‑site quality team. This role is critical in ensuring all incoming and outgoing electronic components meet strict quality, authenticity, and compliance standards.

The successful individual will have hands‑on inspection experience within the electronics industry and must hold IDEA-ICE-3000 certification, with a strong understanding of counterfeit detection and component verification processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed visual and mechanical inspection of electronic components
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with IDEA-ICE-3000 standards
  • Identify counterfeit or suspect components using industry‑recognised methodologies
  • Complete inspection documentation and quality reports accurately and efficiently
  • Utilise microscopes and other inspection equipment to verify authenticity
  • Support incoming, in‑process, and outgoing inspection activities
  • Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to provide quality verification support
  • Maintain compliance with company and industry quality procedures
  • Assist with internal audits and quality improvement initiatives
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Active IDEA-ICE-3000 Certification (required)
  • Previous experience in electronic component inspection
  • Strong knowledge of counterfeit mitigation practices
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9120 (preferred)
  • Experience using microscopes and other inspection tools
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
