Job Description:
Fabrication Welder

Location: Brea, CA
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 (DOE)

As a Fabrication Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting assembly drawings, accurately measuring materials, and cutting them to precise dimensions. You will perform welding tasks using MIG and TIG processes on steel and aluminum materials. The products you create must meet strict quality standards with perfect dimensions and no inconsistencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum materials.
  • Operate fabrication and machine shop equipment.
  • Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work pieces.
  • Assemble work pieces according to job specifications.
  • Utilize any necessary equipment to complete tasks.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the department lead or supervisor.
  • Complete any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position does not have any direct supervisory duties.
  • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
  • Full-time position with potential for long hours and occasional weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Experience and Skills Preferred:
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with MIG and light-gauge TIG welding in a fabrication setting.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure and calipers.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with metal shop equipment, including table saws, miter saws, drill presses, rolling equipment, mills, lathes, and metal shears.
  • Some electrical and soldering knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, while adhering to safety rules and techniques.
  • Strong understanding and application of safety practices regarding all machinery and tools.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
