Position Description
We are seeking a Document Control Technician to support quality, engineering, and manufacturing documentation for PCB and circuit board assembly operations. This position works primarily with the Quality team to maintain corrective action and quality system documentation, while also supporting engineering and manufacturing records. The role ensures documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain and update quality system records including corrective action requests (CARs), CAPA documentation, root cause analysis summaries, and supporting evidence
- Assist with documenting corrective actions and tracking follow‑up activities under direction from the Quality team
- Support updates to quality‑related documents such as procedures, control plans, inspection instructions, and forms
- Maintain and update controlled engineering and manufacturing documents including drawings, specifications, work instructions, schematics, Gerber files, BOMs, ECNs/ECOs, and vendor documentation
- Ensure only current, approved document revisions are available for use
- Log, track, and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), and Process Deviation Notices (PDNs)
- Assist with creating and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and assembly numbers
- Route documents for review and approval and update systems upon approval completion
- Follow established numbering, revision, RoHS, and customer coding standards to maintain database accuracy
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure traceability and efficient document retrieval
- Prepare and retrieve documentation for internal and external audits
- Perform routine checks of document control systems and report discrepancies or errors
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred - 1‑3 years in document control, quality, or manufacturing support roles preferred
- Experience in PCB manufacturing, electronics, or EMS, a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow written procedures and instructions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Willingness to learn quality systems, corrective action documentation, and engineering documentation
- Comfortable working with customer documentation portals with training
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to resolve discrepancies
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Hourly Pay: $22 - $28 per hour. Compensation is based on relevant experience, education, certifications, and specialized skills.
