Toolmaker – 1st Shift (4:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM), a division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. CAM is a leading innovator in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for aerospace, defense and industrial markets.

Operate all departmental machine tools and provide machine shop service, expertise and capability to the entire manufacturing operation. Construct, alter or repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc. and produce most production dies for cold‑heading machines.

• Independently perform the role of Toolmaker, operating all typical departmental machines and any specialty machines as assigned.
• Operate lathes, surface grinders, honing machines and hydraulic presses.
• Obtain instructions, sketches and drawings from the lead person or foreman.
• Retrieve raw material from department stock.
• Set up any department machine to produce work exactly and maintain close tolerances.
• Replace or re‑sharpen cutting tools as required.
• Maintain machine and workplace in a neat and orderly condition daily; perform a general cleanup once a week.
• Produce time, production and quality reports as required.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5–10 years of related experience working as a toolmaker with carbide tools.
