Position Overview
Our long-term client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support their Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, keeping processes organized, and supporting both employees and HR leadership in day-to-day operations. The HR Assistant will play an important role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting onboarding and compliance, and providing administrative HR support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee data updates
- Assist with new hire documentation, background checks, I-9 processing, and benefits enrollment support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS
- Serve as a point of contact for routine employee inquiries, escalating as appropriate
- Support payroll processes by tracking employee changes, timekeeping updates, and documentation
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment preparation, and employee communications
- Coordinate interview scheduling and support recruiting logistics as needed
- Prepare HR reports, letters, and internal documentation
- Support compliance initiatives, audits, and policy administration
- Assist with HR projects, employee programs, and internal events
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role
- Basic knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); HRIS experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working in a structured or corporate environment
