Barber/Stylist Position Overview

Barbers provide hair, beard grooming, and shave services. They must demonstrate excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills, possess outstanding communication skills, and hold a current state barber license as required.

• Perform hair grooming services for each client.
• Explain the value of membership programs.
• Execute all mandated sanitation protocols, sterilize implements, and maintain a clean, sterile workstation at all times.
• Recommend future visits and retail products.
• Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointments.
• Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness, including stocking and maintaining stations per standard operating procedures.
• Promote and upsell products and services to enhance revenue.
• Assist with washing and folding all linens used in the shop.
• Arrive prior to shift start to prepare for the day.
• Keep up-to-date with product lines through promotions, instruction, and training classes.
• Assist in all areas of shop operation as requested by management.
• Staying focused on work and keeping tools clean and sanitary is of vital importance.

• Full-time availability (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
• Ability to work in a dynamic shop environment.
• Supply and maintain professional tools in working order and free of rust (electric hair clippers, shears/scissors, straight/safety razors).
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients.
• Barber must have at least one year of professional experience;
  Master Barber should have a minimum of five years or hold an MB license.

• No requirement to rent individual stations.

Owner, Shop Manager, or Assistant Manager.
