Hair Stylist​/Barber​/Cosmetologist

Overview

• The Barber performs hair grooming services for our clients, including hair, beard grooming, and shave services.
• They must demonstrate excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and hold a current state license as required.

• Explain the value of membership programs, execute mandated sanitation protocols, sterilize implements, and maintain a clean, sterile workstation at all times.
• Use a variety of tools, including sharp implements such as scissors, clippers, straight razors, safety razors, and specialized hair coloring tools.
• Stay focused on work and keep tools clean and sanitary; uphold a high standard of service throughout the shop.
• Perform hair grooming services for each client and recommend future visits as well as retail.
• Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness; stock and maintain stations according to standard operating procedures.
• Promote and up-sell products and services; assist with washing and folding linens and arrive prior to shift start to prepare for the day.
• Maintain and increase knowledge of product lines by attending promotions, in-house instruction, and training classes.
• Assist in all areas of shop operation as requested by management.
• Reports to:
  
  Owner, Shop Manager, or Assistant Manager.

• Full-time availability:
  Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10:15am - 7:00pm. Off days:
  Monday and Tuesday.
• Ability to work in a dynamic shop environment.
• Supply and maintain professional tools in working order and free of rust (electric hair clippers, shears/scissors, and straight/safety razors).
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients.
• Barber must have at least one year of professional experience;
  Master Barber should have a minimum of 5 years or an MB license.

• Applicants will not be required to rent their individual stations.
• Hattori Hanzo shears and thinning shears will be provided.
