Position Summary- Reporting to senior engineering staff/manager, the associate will support and lead R&D activities across product development.
- Responsible for product requirements, design, analysis, verification, validation and transfer, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- May lead projects or teams in U.S., Europe, and Asia and manage talent acquisition and development.
- Serve as core R&D team member to release design control work for new and improved products.
- Build, develop, own and implement technical strategies on projects.
- Manage/coach the extended team and allocate work throughout project duration.
- Manage stakeholders to align technical risks and decisions.
- Serve as SME in product development and design change control per 21 CFR 820 & ISO 13485.
- Support regulatory submissions as technical lead.
- Own project deliverables from Design Inputs to Design Transfer.
- Facilitate and own technical decisions and recommendations.
- B.S. degree in engineering or related field with 1–2+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in product development and release to market.
- Expertise with design controls (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485) & risk management (ISO 14971).
- Working experience in medical device regulations and submission processes.
- Excellent communication of technical and complex problems to all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence others.
- Ability to evaluate, compare, and make trade‑off decisions and manage complex data.
- Exceptional team leadership skills.
- Foundational understanding in Design for Six Sigma, MBSE/SysML, and statistical tools.
- Experience in design verification planning, testing, and test method development.
- Experience in data analytics (python, Power
BI, SAP, databricks). - Plastics design and/or fluid mechanics knowledge.
- High‑volume design & manufacturing experience.
- Competitive salary range: $124,700 – $205,800 USD annual.
