Noon Duty Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION

Under general supervision of the Principal, assist in the supervision, management, safety and well-being of students during lunch.

• Supervises noon and recess play activities which are in progress in the yard or playground.
• Maintains firm but respectful and courteous attitude toward students in a consistent manner.
• Circulates around the assigned play area; acts at all times in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and philosophy of the school and the district.
• Attempts to prevent accidents and injury before they occur by recognizing conditions and situations likely to cause trouble; takes action to correct such conditions.
• Monitors and assists in clean up in the eating areas.
• Helps students to develop good habits of citizenship by insisting upon democratic behavior; encourages students to practice courtesy.
• Refers any requests for leaving the school grounds to the principal or assistant principal.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding student behavior.

Perform related duties as assigned within classification.

• Safety rules and habits.
• Health regulations and safe working methods and procedures
• District policies, rules, and regulations

• Work well with children.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Establish and Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Patient, efficient, and adaptable to constant change
• Parenting skills.

• Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school.
• First Aid and CPR desirable

Outdoor and indoor environment.

• Walking or Standing for extended periods of time.
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
• Position will often be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects between 10 to 50 pounds.
