We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Strategist to drive the evolution and maturity of Dev Ops practices within our organization and client environments. This role focuses on strategic planning, cultural transformation, and establishing a future‑oriented Dev Ops vision. You will work with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to assess current states, define target architectures, and implement comprehensive roadmaps that elevate organizational maturity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Strategic Planning & Vision:
Define and communicate long-term Dev Ops strategies aligned with business objectives, establishing clear roadmaps for platform evolution, tooling adoption, and operational excellence. - Culture Transformation:
Lead Dev Ops cultural initiatives across client organizations, fostering collaboration, breaking down silos, and embedding practices that drive continuous improvement and innovation. - Maturity Assessment & Elevation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of current Dev Ops maturity levels, identify gaps, and implement structured programs that measurably advance capabilities in automation, observability, and delivery practices. - Technical Leadership:
Provide architectural guidance on infrastructure patterns, cloud-native technologies, and platform strategies, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with C-level executives and technical leaders to translate business requirements into technical strategies, demonstrating clear value propositions and ROI for Dev Ops investments. - Knowledge Transfer & Enablement:
Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and documentation that build internal capabilities and promote self-sufficiency within client teams. - Metrics & Continuous Improvement:
Establish KPIs and metrics frameworks to measure Dev Ops effectiveness (DORA metrics, SLOs, etc.), driving data-informed decisions and demonstrating tangible business impact. - Innovation & Best Practices:
Stay ahead of emerging trends in Dev Ops, SRE, and platform engineering, evangelizing modern practices such as Git Ops, Fin Ops, policy-as-code, and platform engineering principles.
- Demonstrated track record implementing Dev Ops culture in enterprise environments with measurable maturity improvements.
- Experience conducting maturity assessments using recognized frameworks (DORA, CALMS, Dev Ops Maturity Models).
- Experience with Fin Ops practices and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate technical vision into business value and actionable roadmaps.
- Proven experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Experience leading or mentoring Dev Ops teams and developing talent pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), including ground‑up implementation, architecture design, and operational management.
- Background in consulting or client-facing strategic advisory roles.
- Publications, speaking engagements, or community contributions in the Dev Ops space.
- Fluent English communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence at executive levels.
