REQUISITION
YOUR TASKS:
- Design and define wind farm control functionalities in line with customer requirements and international grid codes
- Develop and maintain software solutions for the Nordex Acciona Wind Farm Controller
- Validate control solutions both in laboratory environments and real wind farms (remote commissioning and testing)
- Optimize control strategies and system performance across wind farm fleets
- Lead complex technical developments, from concept to deployment
- Develop and optimize communication interfaces between control systems and external platforms
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including Control & Grid Code, and Laboratory Test teams
- Provide 3rd‑level technical support to ensure the performance and reliability of the global wind farm fleet
YOUR PROFILE:
- University degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in PLC programming (IEC 61131-3) and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Solid understanding of PLC architectures and industrial automation environments.
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 60870‑5‑101/104, DNP3, OPC UA, Bluecom.
- Proven experience in control algorithms, automation networks, and system integration.
- Practical experience with renewable power plants and grid code compliance.
- Very good command of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of German or Spanish is a strong plus.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Experience with IEC 61400‑25 (wind power communication standards).
- Background in embedded control systems, code generation, and real‑time applications.
- Exposure to hybrid energy plants (BESS, PV, Hydrogen).
- Independent, reliable, and structured working style.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
- Comfortable working in international and multicultural environments.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
