Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility serving a primarily long-term care patient population. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality rehabilitative care while working collaboratively with the therapy team to support patient mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
Schedule
- Flexible schedule
- Shifts must be completed between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility available as long as required hours are met
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities
- Document patient progress and communicate updates with the care team
- Work primarily with long-term care residents in an SNF setting
- Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Active state Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a PTA
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required (ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable)
Additional Information
- Full-time coverage needed immediately
- Opportunity for temporary full-time support coverage anticipated in the near future
- No holiday coverage required
