About

The Role

As an Engineering Technician, you will perform a variety of technical and engineering assignments for design, drafting, and implementation of mechanical and instrumentation projects (Capital, Expense, Development). Additionally, you will support and perform field and onsite deployment, maintenance, setup, and operation of integrated systems. You will report to the Engineering & Manufacturing Supervisor and will be based out of our Brattleboro, VT location.

This position requires 30‑50% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage drafting, design, engineering, manufacturing and maintenance request workload and coordinate requests with supervision to ensure timely completion and level loading.
  • Manufacture, test and peer check larger and fully integrated systems to engineering procedures, CAD drawings and schematics.
  • Support both peers and field/manufacturing technicians with technical and manufacturing support.
  • Use CAD software to support new/current projects, sales and revisions.
  • Support rebuilds of outage support systems.
  • Perform onsite deployment, maintenance, setup and operation of integrated systems.
  • Help perform project controls (scope, cost, estimate, and schedule) for assigned projects under the guidance of engineering or project manager.
  • Help produce installation instructions, operation manuals, provide technical and project oversight for installation and testing activities.
  • Perform computer, measuring devices and instrumentation support for projects.
  • Help prepare requirements documents for purchasing and fabricating equipment and systems under the guidance of engineering or project manager.
  • Produce requests for quotes and purchase requests to purchase materials and equipment.
  • Help identify, set up and acquire spare parts for projects.
  • Comply with facility specifications, engineering and drafting procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years relevant work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • Understanding of all parts of larger and fully integrated systems.
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as digital multimeters, calipers and micrometers.
  • CAD and/or 3D modeling certification.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Solid Edge.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $59,913.83 to $77,358.75 per year.
