We are seeking a Material Handler to ensure smooth and efficient material flow at our Copeland Canada headquarters in Brantford. This role is responsible for receiving, transporting, storing, and staging materials to support production, storage, and shipping operations, and for assisting with quality checks, inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Movement:
    Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Storage & Organization:
    Accurately locate and store raw materials, components, and finished goods. Maintain organized storage areas to support production and shipping needs.
  • Inventory Management:
    Support cycle counts, material audits, and warehouse inventory checks. Communicate inventory discrepancies to appropriate team members.
  • Quality Control:
    Verify incoming shipments, validate shipping documentation, and ensure materials meet quality standards. Assist with inspection processes and report any issues promptly.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Follow all company safety procedures and comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Communication & Teamwork:
    Collaborate with team members, production, and logistics to coordinate material movement. Provide clear and timely updates to supervisors and other departments.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Authorization to work in Canada without current or future sponsorship.
  • Required:

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Required:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Forklift certification or prior experience in similar roles (in-house certification available if needed).
  • Preferred:
    Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • Preferred:
    Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a safety-focused mindset.
Compensation & Benefits

Our compensation philosophy is to pay a competitive base salary within the local market and reward performance during the annual merit review. The hourly rate for this role is $22.50 CAD, in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).
