ABOUTTHE ROLE
Responsible for the profit and loss contribution of the Aggregates Product Line in the Southwest Ontario Aggregates unit while upholding all company commitments, and executing a culture that holds health & safety as a core value. Based in West Paris, the successful candidate would be expected to execute business strategy, operational and commercial business plans, and provide leadership to all organizational resources within the designated market area.
WHATYOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Oversee areas of responsibility including safety, sales, marketing, efficient operations/production, quality control, sustainability, innovation, and environmental compliance.
- Secure the long-term growth vision for the market area by proactively engaging the support of functional leaders.
- Ensure all products and services meet Amrize standards and are provided in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Provide leadership and coaching to develop performance culture and teams that deliver results reaching or exceeding targets.
- Define the vision and strategy for the SW business unit and ensure alignment across all levels of the team.
- Achieve annual revenue, EBITDA, and Cash targets.
- Direct the development and execution of the SW Commercial, logistics, and Operations strategies to maximize value and competitive positioning.
- Foster a performance culture with a high focus on people development and talent pipeline sustainability.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
- Education
:
Masters in Business, Finance or Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or Geological sciences preferred. - Experience
:
Minimum of 7-10 years of Aggregates experience. - Travel
:
Ability to travel up to 30%. - Skills
:
Strong background in operational, commercial, and logistics management.
- Experience working in the South West Ontario Area is considered an asset.
- Experience managing complex operations including pits, quarries, depots, docks, GCC grinding stations, and grits plants.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
