Company Description

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a mid-level Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational decision-making, maintaining accurate product costing, and driving financial performance across the facility. Compensation

$70,000 salary, plus benefits, plus bonus.

Position Description

  • Maintain and analyze standard costing systems, including regular updates and variance analysis
  • Prepare and review monthly inventory reconciliations and manufacturing variance reports
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to costing and inventory
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure cost accuracy
  • Analyze labour, overhead, and material costs; identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within ERP and financial reporting systems
  • Support internal and external audits as required

    • Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of Accounting Experience
  • 2 – 3 years of Manufacturing accounting experience
  • Strong Excel and Accounting Tech software skills
  • Strong time management and detail-oriented capability

    • Education

    Post-secondary education in Finance, Commerce, or Business
