Reports Directly To: Floral Department Manager

This is an entry-level job at store level. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Floral Manager in providing quality products to customers in a clean, friendly environment.

• Provide outstanding customer service
• Greet and thank every customer you interact with
• Assist the Floral Manager in completing daily duties
• Follow all company trim standards
• Assist in receiving trucks and breaking down loads into coolers
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure equipment safety mechanisms are not bypassed
• Report missing or non-functional safety mechanisms to the Floral Manager
• Rotate all stocked items regularly
• Use markdown coupons to reduce products nearing expiration
• Use merchandising areas properly to promote sales of advertised or deal items

Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes occasionally and exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently, and 10-20 lbs. constantly while handling materials. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to stand, move between workstations, and lift, carry, push, and pull items. Ability to use knives and other sharp instruments used in food preparation is required.

This is medium work requiring good corrected vision, hearing, and physical ability to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, stand, reach, push, and pull. Work may involve slippery floors.
