Overview of Your RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will:
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for your assigned patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care with various departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Perform your duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
This is a full-time day shift position at Mercy Aurora OB
QualificationsEducation: You should have graduated from a school of nursing with an Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
Licensure: You must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
Certifications:Required certifications include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire).
- Additional certifications may include:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
