DescriptionAttractions and Operations Intern
Hone your business and hospitality expertise as a Silver Dollar City Attractions Intern while assisting in aspects of Guest Services, Attractions Operations, or Transportation.
You must be currently at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school degree program to participate. This program runs from May 18th through August 14th.

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to assist the Attractions teams.
- Serve as a Front Line Host within a variety of areas including Guest Services and other Attractions operations.
- Participate in Safety meetings.
- Participate in Team Leader meetings.
- Learn time-keeping procedures.
- Learn performance review procedures.
- Assist with written communications.
- Assist with creating and implementing improvements in safety, guest excellence, profit contribution and job satisfaction.
- Assist with Guest Services and Attractions’ team projects including surveys, appreciation events, team outings and company events.
- Assist Guest Services and Attractions Supervisors with various tasks.
- May complete one project benefiting at least one Guest Services and Attractions area as determined by management. Projects are not guaranteed, but assigned based on priority as needed for school credit for internship.
- Interact with guests to ensure a safe, fast, and friendly operation. Must be able to resolve guest concerns in a friendly, non-offensive manner without deviating from safety procedures.
- Test equipment daily per safety training prior to opening rides to guests.
- Give directions to riders and guests over the microphone regarding safety instructions and the operation of rides.
- Observe riders while boarding the ride vehicle to ensure safe and proper seating.
- Inform riders to fasten the belt, bar, or other safety device.
- Check to ensure safety restraints are secured for each rider before dispatching the ride.
- Manipulate controls to start and stop rides.
- Remain alert and attentive at all times while the ride is in operation.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned work area cleanliness, such as daily cleaning tasks, removal of trash, refueling and using small power equipment to remove natural debris, and cleaning bodily fluid waste as necessary.
- Report any potential safety hazards in the assigned work area.

Education/
Experience:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program in a related field.
- Must have basic computer skills with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
