Position: Logistics and Shipping Coordinator (Warehouse / Manufacturing)

Logistics & Shipping Coordinator | Branford, CT

We are seeking a highly organized, hands‑on leader to oversee daily warehouse operations and coordinate critical shipping activities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between production and sales, ensuring that inventory moves efficiently and customer orders arrive on time. Must‑Have

Qualifications
  • Experience:

    5+ years of warehouse and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Licensing:
    Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Equipment Proficiency:
    Proven ability to operate box trucks and standard warehouse equipment.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Basic computer literacy and data entry experience.
  • Teamwork:
    Ability to work independently while effectively directing a team.
Core Responsibilities
  • Shipping & Scheduling:
    Create and manage shipping schedules; coordinate with Production and Sales to stage orders and schedule freight carrier pickups.
  • Inventory Management:
    Receive raw materials, document customer returns, and maintain precise inventory records within internal systems.
  • Leadership & Training:
    Supervise warehouse organization and provide direct training to Material Handlers to ensure peak operational efficiency.
  • Material Movement:
    Safely operate forklifts, turret trucks, and box trucks to move materials in and out of inventory and coordinate supplier shipments.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment in strict adherence to company quality standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the duration of a shift.
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs independently.
  • Ability to climb stairs and operate heavy warehouse machinery.
  • Comfort working in varying temperature conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
  • Availability for overtime and weekend work as required by production demands.
