SUMMARY
The Mustard Seed is seeking a mission-driven, relational, and strategic leader to serve as Executive Director. This role provides overall leadership for the organization, working closely with the Board of Trustees and staff to advance the mission and ensure operational excellence.
The Executive Director provides overall leadership for the organization, including staff supervision and operational execution, and leads The Mustard Seed staff in the administration of day-to-day operations, stewardship of financial resources, and care and maintenance of physical resources. The Executive Director serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop a team environment within the ministry which enables implementation of The Mustard Seed Mission.
- Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to create and implement strategic plans.
- Provide leadership and oversight in areas such as:
- Daily processes in client programming, admissions, maintaining facilities and ensuring safety.
- Budget planning, enterprise management and oversight of donor development and fundraising.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and families, donors and volunteers.
- Human resources management, staff development and supervision.
- Serve as an ambassador for The Mustard Seed in the community.
- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures that support best business practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, accreditation requirements, and Board policies.
- Administrative and organizational leadership experience
- Enthusiastic support for and alignment with the mission of The Mustard Seed.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies.
- Strong leadership, time management, organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Personal attributes: initiative, strategic and creative thinking, problem solving ability, strong relational skills.
- Familiarity with facilities management and programming for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Three to five references required, including a combination of personal, professional, and pastoral references.
