We are seeking the right candidate for the position of LPN/RN Medical Cart Nurse at Brandon Community Care Center.
In this vital role, you’ll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support. All Shifts Available!
- Prepare and distribute medications from a mobile cart, following physician orders and facility protocols. This includes ensuring accurate dosage, timing, documentation, and managing refills.
- Respond to medical emergencies as needed, which may include using crash carts and defibrillators.
- Maintain the medication cart, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies; remove discontinued and expired medications.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including charting medication administration and observations.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to provide exceptional care and support.
- Provide emergency assistance to residents as indicated, and maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, high professional standards, good interpersonal relationships, and appropriate emotional and mental health.
- Be willing to be in the facility ready to begin duties on time and to work weekends.
- Be willing to be assigned to a unit as a Licensed Staff member in emergencies and to evaluate geriatric residents’ needs to ensure timely interventions.
- Evaluate Nursing Staff needs and provide timely staff education to support quality care.
- Function as a cooperative team member within the Nursing Department and with other departments; follow Comm Care policies and procedures.
- Manage and supervise treatment plans for each resident as indicated and provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
- Essential qualifications include the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and to provide courteous service to residents, families, and employees.
- Able to perform in a way that reflects good emotional, mental, and physical health with sound judgment and high professional standards.
- Ability and willingness to provide emergency assistance and to respond to medical emergencies using appropriate equipment.
- Willingness to be in the facility weekends and to begin assigned duties on time.
- Ability to work as a Licensed Staff member assigned to a unit in emergencies.
- Ability to follow Comm Care policies and procedures.
