Responsible for the oversight and development of assigned Major Accounts clients, providing the primary point of contact for corporate offices, overseeing minor Governance and Compliance functions, and interacting with the TDAF Regional Field organizations on related Major Account activities. Develops and delivers customized solutions that drive growth, relevance, and deepen long‑term relationships with key Strategic Partners across the defined market. Leverages networks, leads and analysis to identify and close sales opportunities for TD Auto Finance.
Manages the overall client experience while executing on business relationships that further enhance the enterprise profitability and footprint of TD Auto Finance. Ensures all products and services are accurately presented and delivered in a simpler and faster method, in line with the organization’s value proposition and desired competitive opportunity. Tasked with forecasting business results, creating strategic direction to consummate profitable and sustainable relationships.
The job function within Major Accounts is carried out with disciplined execution.
- Manages the relationship with auto dealers in an assigned territory for all TD products (Retail, Commercial, Remarketing). Monitors dealer performance through daily reports and recommends/takes actions as appropriate.
- Understands the differentiated services we offer and applies them to our customer base; grows, improves, and ceases relationships to maintain profitable, efficient business.
- Meets dealers to discuss consumer and commercial lending products, creates strategies and plans, and consults with dealers regarding their needs; monitors dealer performance through daily reports and takes appropriate actions.
- Develops new business by meeting with prospects to achieve annual sales and cross‑referral goals; qualifies prospects, determines their consumer lending needs, formulates account strategies, coordinates with necessary personnel, and presents solutions.
- Visits customers regularly to ensure service levels are maintained, plans effective meetings, assesses overall business situations, answers customer questions, resolves problems, and creates sales presentations. Recommends additional products and services as appropriate, solves problems, and ensures ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Provides training and mentoring for new and less experienced staff.
- Participates in the development of unit operating policies and procedures by communicating new or unique situations and solutions; develops and retains indirect business according to company policies, procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- 4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years related experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of various dealer finance and indirect consumer lending products and services and credit decisions. Proven sales track record, including history of successfully attracting new customers.
- Account management skills, including ability to build strong and lasting business relationships. Refined negotiation skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work in teams to contribute to sound lending decisions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
